Bowdoin Drug Trial Witness Reverses Testimony

In Portland the prosecution witness Peter Kapelos altered his earlier statements about forged prescriptions at Bowdoin Pharmacy in Kennebunk. He testified nine prescriptions were forged and admitted passing both valid and forged copies under cross examination. He previously claimed 175 forged prescriptions. The case ties to a federal non jury Bowdoin trial with related testimony from a woman whose forged prescription was filled at Bowden in 1974.
