The Queen's Horses and Royal Mews History
The Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace houses the Queen's carriages and Windsor Greys. Since 1762 George II began the stable complex and the gold State Coach, used at every coronation through Elizabeth II in 1953. Visitors see harnesses, sleighs, and the modern motor fleet alongside historic vehicles.
