Fire Damages Lewiston Office and Storage Building

A Friday night blaze on Main Street Lewiston caused about 10000 dollars in losses to a two story office and storage building. Fire officials suspect the fire began in fertilizer on the second floor. Several firefighters suffered minor injuries during a 14 hour battle.

Rehabilitation Service Aids Biddeford Woman Recovery

Courage and a desire to continue work helped Jeannette Petrin 34 of 14 Market St Saco resume normal life after a year of limited ability. A client of Maine Vocational Rehabilitation she now works full time at Westland Shoe Co Biddeford since February. She underwent heart surgery in June 1964 and was referred by Maine Medical Center. Foreman Philip Dube and Supt Harold Martel praise her progress as she works with five other cutout operators.
