Self-Help centers sponsored statewide by Governor Longley’s Positive Action Committee seek to change attitudes and connect women, minorities, and the unemployed with employment services. The Biddeford workshop on Job Applications and Attitudes helped participants gain confidence, including a 59 year old Scarborough woman who felt better prepared for interviews. The program is the first of four centers.
