Gunman Killed In Portland Battle

In SOUTH PORTLAND AP Richmond man James L. Little was shot and killed early today during a gun battle with police at the home of Mrs. Eleanor Carlin. Officers Ralph Segal and William Murphy entered the living room as Little fired, then fired back wounding him. he collapsed at the front door. Carlin, 30, said Little had visited about three hours and boasted of carrying a pistol.
