No Road Probe Denied For Maine In FBI Review
Augusta Maine August 1961 top federal highway official in Maine said the FBI has made no investigation connected with the Maine highway program. Robert Hunter district engineer for Maine said after a TV report that the FBI had found crime in road work. He checked with Albany Washingt on and the FBI had no record. FBI agent McGillicuddy Augusta said no such investigation in two years. Maine Highway Commission Chairman Stevens said he knows of no federal criminal probe.
