Respondent Given Heavy Fine On Assault Charge

Ronald Victor Leonardi twenty five of Gonic New Hampshire pleaded guilty in Biddeford municipal court to assault and battery and paid the maximum fine of one hundred dollars imposed by Judge Simon Spill. Accompanied by three other men from out of state he was arrested after Biddeford police broadcasted for the car with New Hampshire plates. The complainant A Kenneth Huff of Saco testified he tried to talk with the strangers who then assaulted him leaving him with a cut mouth. The quartet drove away toward Sanford and were reprimanded by the judge for their conduct urging them to act like gentlemen.
