Biddeford Officials Face Dec 6 Hearing At Maine Supreme Court
Hearing on three appeal cases against Biddeford Mayor Clement H. Deschambault and City Clerk Raoul J. Binette will be held December 6 at the Maine Supreme Judicial Court in Augusta. Lawyers for the officials and the state filed briefs after York County Superior Court denials. The indictments allege Deschambault defrauded Plante of 6000 for a political campaign and defrauded Saco Brick for 607.23 in an unauthorized city contract. The Binette indictment charges a $4669.95 donation to the Democratic party from Bourque. The case against Binette earlier resulted in a hung jury on larceny charges.
