Infantry Division repels major Viet Cong attack north of Saigon
A detachment of the U S Army 1st Infantry Division repelled a 500 strong Viet Cong battalion attack on Highway 13 near Zone D, about miles north of Saigon, with 100 American deaths reported and higher tolls likely.
