Kennebunk town manager Kenneth Barrett reports progress on a compromise sewer plan costing about 25000 to serve all 10 homes along Chase Hill Road plagued by septic effluent. The plan, agreed by the selectmen and sewer district trustees, lowers cost versus the original 38000 estimate but exceeds the 16000 district option that excluded some homes. Construction of the Chase Hill line toward the Kennebunk River bridge could start in a couple of weeks.
