Over 180 men employed by John Roberts Inc in Biddeford will gain 17 percent hourly raises effective June 3 plus a third week’s vacation and fringe benefits totaling 25 cents per hour in a three year contract. The Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union says the deal covers about 125000 workers nationwide, including 8000 in New England.
