State budget plan outlines education and capital projects
The plan revises a five million dollar shortfall toward new or expanded services with more than half earmarked for education. It also proposes twenty two million dollars for capital improvements including state buildings and park work. Four million would come from the general fund surplus and twelve million via revenue bonds for dormitories and dining facilities. Seventeen million would be funded by a general fund bond issue with adjustments reducing three point three million by scrapping the Boys Training Center move and adding one point seven million for current site improvements.
