Old Orchard Beach residents honor Denise Terlalis on a bridal shower list of attendees. Denise is set to wed Paul Brouillard Jr. on June 21 at St. Margarets Church in town. Several relatives and friends attended or sent gifts.

Robert Kimball and Terry McIntosh of Thornton Academy attended a Get Acquainted Meeting of the Maine Council on Economic Education in Portland. Educators, businessmen and others formed a Maine affiliate to promote economic education statewide as university staff explore a fall program. Kimball will teach Consumer Economics next fall at Thornton.
Miss Susan Lumb of Saco Maine and Miss Patricia Coburn of Saco Maine are among 951 graduates at the University of Bridgeport commencement on June 1. They earned degrees from the College of Education with physical education majors.
Dr Robert Westbrook of Sargent will donate a mare to a Houston heart surgeon for a patient’s treatment. The Byams learned their daughter lacked insurance coverage, and Dr Westbrook quoted Dr Cooley advising to park the horse at the hospital until he retrieves it.
