The freighter Mayaguez departed for Hong Kong with cargo bound for U S forces Kailand. Sea-Land says 77 containers to be unloaded in Hong Kong mostly hold post exchange goods while 107 containers unloaded in Singapore showed break in and about 5000 dollars missing from the ship s safe. Crew adjustments and replacements were arranged in the United States. The captain reported detachments taken to a fishing village in a cave on Rong San Lem during the Koh Tang operation. Three crewmen were wounded by shrapnel and some suffered gas burns during the incident.
