Deaths Edmond Carrier 77 Biddeford man

Edmond Carrier 77 of 36 Foss St Biddeford died in a Biddeford hospital after a short illness. Born March 24 1892 in Ste Justine P Q son of John and Anna Carrier he lived in Biddeford 33 years. He worked for Saco Lowell Shops and co owned Biddeford Foundry Co retiring about 12 years ago. Survived by widow Marie Louise Goulet Carrier son Raymond Carrier three daughters two brothers one sister and 13 grandchildren. Funeral from St Andre Church Monday at 9 a m with calling hours today and tomorrow at Emond Funeral Home.

Mack W John 67 dies after long illness in Saco area

W John Mack 67 of 95 Scammon St. Saco died afternoon in Portland after a long illness. He was born July 26 1901 in Fitchburg Mass son of Julius and Annie Mack. Retired foreman of Saco Lowell Shops Biddeford he belonged to First Baptist Church Portland Saco Fire Department Maine State Federation of Fire Fighters Saco Lodge F and A M Annette Chapter Order of Eastern Star Saco. Survived by widow Mildred Nelson Mack of Saco. son John David Mack Freeport. daughter Selene Mack Saco. brother Walter Mack Ashburnham Mass. sister Dorothy Mack Plymouth Mass. three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral 2 pm Monday at Shumway Funeral Home Saco with calling 2-4 and 7-9 pm tomorrow.

Funeral services for Prudent Pellerin of 14 Lafayette Street Biddeford were held at St Andre's Church. Rev Roland Sirois celebrated the requiem high mass and delivered the family. The church choir sang with Laura Proulx on the organ. Interment followed in St Joseph's Cemetery Biddeford as graveside prayers were offered. Bearers were William Bisson Henri Bourque Edar Cabana and Josephat Tar.

Old Orchard Beach VFW Plans Memorial Day Parade

Old Orchard Beach VFW Post will meet tomorrow at 7 30 PM to finalize Memorial Day parade plans. The route runs from Turnpike Road beside the high school to Saco Avenue, Old Orchard Street, Depot Square, and Veterans Memorial Park for the Roll of Honor, rifle volley, and taps. Granite State Highlander Bagpipe Band from Dover NH is slated as a major attraction. Corsages for Gold Star Mothers will be delivered tonight for wearing tomorrow.

Kennebunk Town Meeting Called for Referendum Bonds

Voters in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport are urged to attend a special town meeting Monday at Town Hall from 9 am to 7 pm. Article 1 elects a moderator. Article 2 seeks approval for two School Administrative District 71 bond issues totaling 18 000 for heating system improvements at Kennebunk High School and 14 000 for auditorium alterations and equipment.
