Squirrel Reunited After German Band Chorus
In 1884 Biddeford Dr. Gratton lured his pet squirrel home by hiring a German Band to play tunes outside his Bacon Street house. The animal hopped trees and finally returned to its nest after hearing Home Sweet Home and the French anthem. The doctor paid the band and the squirrel chewed a nut as night fell.
