Reward Out For Atlantic Salmon In Connecticut River
A federal state program offers rewards for Atlantic salmon in the Connecticut River as efforts to restock the river continue. Up to $500 for the first live adult salmon, $100 for the next nineteen live fish, and $25 for the first forty dead ones. Fish ladders and dams are part of the plan with facilities planned at Rainbow dam and others along the river. The program aims to build an annual run of 40,000 adult salmon and two million American shad at the river mouth.
