Teachers Rejecting Parts Of Proposal In Biddeford
The Biddeford Teachers Association accepted the proposed salary schedule but rejected a footnote that would render it ineffective. The schedule starts teachers at 2500 with annual increases to 3500 in 10 years for two years training, and higher scales for more training. The BTA seeks a 300 yearly raise thereafter while the board weighs next steps as Supt. Paul Larrabee notes alignment with teachers’ requests. Mayor Clement Deschambault, chair of the School board, declined comment.
