Oxford Paper shifts NatGeographic contract to Rumford mill
The Oxford Paper Co. moves paper production for National Geographic Magazine from Lawrence Massachusetts to Rumford Maine. President William H. Chisholm says the realignment boosts Rumford business and employment as Oxford spends 17 million dollars on expansion. The Lawrence mill will resume earnings with product realignment. Oxford reports first quarter earnings up 37 percent, with sales rising 8 percent. sales total 19.51 million and earnings after taxes 358,270 or 63 cents a share.
