Brownie Troop 31 Meeting and Supplies Requested

Brownie Troop 31 met at St Mary hall Biddeford yesterday. Girls reminded to bring in all money by next week and to bring a bottle of glue for future projects. Outdoor games were played and refreshments served by Beverly Sparkowich and Janine Rossignol. Next week’s refreshments will be by Holly Sukalas and Mary Boucher.

Professor Duffy to Join National Science Foundation Marine Institute

Dr John Duffy associate professor of biology at St Francis College has been chosen to attend a five week National Science Foundation marine science institute at Duke University this summer The session runs July 19 to August 20 at the University Marine Laboratory Beaufort North Carolina Topics cover The Ocean Physical and Chemical Oceanography Marine Fauna Physical Ecology of Marine Animals and Marine Flora and Ecology The emphasis is on inter relations of marine organisms with their environment Dr Duffy earned his Ph D from Rutgers University and has U S experience.
