Veteran Entitled To His Job
Veterans returning from military service must be reemployed with no loss of seniority and receive benefits equal to those available prior to duty. Supreme Court rulings insist on treating returning workers as if their employment had continued, with consideration for any expected upgrades or severance tied to their service. Employers should clarify policies with unions and ensure fair reemployment, while avoiding perceptions of callousness during transitions. A separate public notice announces evangelistic services at Advent Christian Church in Goodwins Mills, Ly man, led by Rev. Morley A. Shaw Jr. scheduled for March 24 to 31 with multiple services and special music.
