Salary Cut From 263 Dollars Daily Questioned In Maine
The Maine State Liquor Commission hearing examiner salary 6000 to 8000 was considered with an amendment to set it at 5000. Senators noted the 23 days work last year equates to 263 dollars daily at six thousand and 343 at eight thousand, with critics denying justification for a cut. The Senate voted 31 to 0 to kill the amendment and, on Whittaker’s motion, the bill was killed.
