Saco Man Fined On Liquor Count And Union Talks
Ronald A. Melancon of Saco paid 400 dollars in fines after a Unity club liquor raid. He pleaded guilty to search and seizure and illegal sale of liquor charges. The case arose from a state police and Saco police raid on the Unity club building. Officers confiscated 83 bottles of beer five quarts of whiskey two fifths of vodka and a fifth of gin. Union representatives will meet Pepperell Manufacturing officials March 29 and 30 to discuss a proposed wage and related negotiations affecting Biddeford and Lewiston plants.

MacArthur Recovers After Prostate Operation
