The SLH Student Council voted to donate funds to several departments for equipment and teaching aids including an overhead projector and lab cabinets. They also approved a $100 scholarship for a deserving senior and pledged support for current event films and facility upgrades across physics chemistry and biology divisions.
On March 9 the Dave Astor Show drew approximately zero students as audience. Pan tomining included Paul Camire Ron Cote Sue Cote Don Du mas Tom Girard Carol Gou let Nancy Montpas John Pare Carlene Parisien Rachel Perreault Madeleine Roy and Rene Simard. The Free-Wheelers folk group featured seniors Sue Angers Denise Bouchard Jeannette Cyr Donna Dubuc and Peggy LeBlond.
The student body purchased a ciborium in memory of Mrs Irene Nadeau the deceased wife of Albert Nadeau school custodian Reverend Real Nadeau None
The Student Council works on a study day for later this year. Recently accepted at colleges include Donald Boisvert Chaminade College Honolulu Hawaii Ronald Bolduc University of Maine Portland Guy Guillemette University of Maine Orono and Mi Quinn Gorham State College.

Forty nine girls competed with Cecile Gagne Rita Bellefeuille Simone Binette Linda Dubois Lucille Dion Rita Bisson Jeanne Gobiel Denise Gobeil Linda Hevey Diane Lapointe and Theresa Sutton leading the results.

At the March 9 meet in Saco Valley the girls placed across events with Terry Spang taking 4th on balance beam and floor exercise, Sue Spang also 4th, Lynda Hanusek 6th on vault, Paula Belair 3rd on vault and tumbling, Linda Busse 6th, Bonnie Ryan 5th, and Terry Spang 4th on tumbling.
Tory Spang represented the southwestern part of Maine in the State Meet held in Bangor on March 16.
Today the girls' intramural games began with both junior varsity and varsity squads in action. Coaches and referees will be provided from among the participants and staff.
Tuesday March 12 Col Ever ett Thurlow and Sgt Hans Nau mann visited Pease AFB to discuss a survival course for B and C Flights set for May. They learned Lt Milan Fuller was named AFIRTC liaison officer coordinating Pease AFB activities with the unit. Fuller serves as operational equipment officer at Pease AFB.
On March 14 Harold Pinan the guidance director accompanied several students to a conference of college representatives from Culver-Stockton College in Missouri. The event took place at the Sheraton Eastland Motor Hotel in Portland.
