Maine Corridor To Canada Proposed
The Maine Senate asked for a $30 million bond to rebuild Route 6 and shift it toward a Maine corridor highway from Vanceboro to Coburn Gore near the Quebec border. Sen. Wakine G. Tanous proposed the route run Vanceboro through Lincoln, Howland, Milo, Dover-Foxcroft, Guilford, Bingham to Coburn Gore. Route 6, about 200 miles, is a two lane corridor road not an expressway.
