Missing Airmen Sought After Bermuda Plane Crash

U S boats and planes searched off Bermuda's south coast for 12 airmen missing after two Air Force planes collided during a Gemini space project rescue drill. Seven survivors, five bodies recovered, and the Gemini capsule seen in the water as the planes simulated its recovery. Plane crash kills two children in Haverhill neighborhood

A silent F86 Sabrejet crashed into a Riverside street in Haverhill Massachusetts at 12:23 am. The blast killed Todd Gifford ten and Pamela Gifford eight in their one story home. Parents Mrs and Mrs Earl Gifford escaped unharmed. Pilot Capt D F Sullivan ejected and survived, later reporting loss of engine and a 90 degree turn before the crash. The three alarm fire damaged several homes and cars as debris scorched the area.
