Youth Corps Programs Underway in Biddeford and Saco
The Biddeford and Saco Youth Corps Projects are underway led by Norman A. Martin in Biddeford and William Farrington in Saco. The Biddeford unit has 50 employees and Saco 15 with three vacancies. Enrollees work 26 hours weekly at $1.40 per hour and eligibility depends on family income and size, with detailed limits for farm and non farm households. Volunteers assist as supervisors at no pay, covering 10 percent of the budget through in kind supervision.
