Old Orchard Beach Wurlitzer Returns For Graduation Night
In OLD ORCHARD BEACH 87 graduates watched as a rebuilt 1920s Wurlitzer unit orchestra lit up the stage. The organ, moved here six years ago by the Pine Tree Chapter ATOS, played amid a Sneak Preview of summer concerts. Organ builder Dr Dwight Leighton and ATOS workers finished much of the reconstruction, with proceeds aiding ATOS. The organ’s value estimates range 60 000 to 100 000 dollars, and about 10 000 dollars funded the rebuild efforts.
