Home-made electric bike thrills Biddeford students
Homer Chappelle of Kennebunk showed sixth graders from Biddeford Junior High his home made electric bicycle in the school parking lot. The device uses a six volt car battery and a Ford starter motor activated by a button. Students took turns riding it, amazed no pedaling was required, as Chappelle explained his four year project born from a heart attack.
