Robbery at Brunswick Hotel nets $5000 in Old Orchard Beach

Two men robbed the Brunswick Hotel at 5 Fernald St. at 3 15 this core taking over 5000 from the hotel safe. Desk clerk John Loomas said the pair, one masked, opened the safe in about two minutes. No injuries reported.

Locally Made Marine Engine Donated After Historic Run

A 4.5 horsepower single four cycle marine engine built by Frank Emery in Kennebunkport circa 1912 was demonstrated in a barn on Route 9. Donated to the Bradstone Sea and Farm Museum at Cape Porpoise by the Emery family and Melvin Landon, the engine rests on display with Emery’s legacy of local craftsmanship and wartime durability.
