West Fires Devastate Forests Across Eight States

Dulles Arrives To Brief Kennedy On World State

Dulles the CIA chief landed at Hyannis Port to present Sen. John F. Kennedy with a top secret briefing on world affairs from the government view. Governor Nominates Maine Harness Commission Members

Gov Reed yesterday named Harold OD Glidden of Presque Isle to the Maine Harness Commission to succeed Wilfred Caouette of Madison whose term expired June 28. Both are Republicans. The governor also reappointed Dr Delbert M Stewart of South Paris as examiner of insane convicts for Oxford county.
