Lund Mfg Co Inc celebrates 15 years and moves to a newly built 31,500 square foot plant in Saco Industrial Park on May 1. The firm, now employing 55 with 97 machines, will in time reach 150 to 200 workers as it consolidates Biddeford operations. President Wendell B. Lund, a Brown University graduate, built the business from a one machinist start in 1953, overcoming payroll strains and field sales challenges while expanding into Massachusetts cutting tools and a service network reaching Hong Kong.
