Fire chiefs and officers of the Wells Corner and Wells Beach Fire departments were elected at annual meetings. Wells Corner elected Casper Bridges as chief, with Paul Bridges Sr. moving to assistant chief. Wells Beach chose Donald Moody as chief with Gordon Bridges Sr. as assistant chief. North Berwick lodge hosts January 14 meeting and plans

Librarian Mrs Earl Freeman reported progress in circulation and borrower numbers, stating the library is among the best in towns under 5 000 population.
