Rumford defeated Biddeford 61 to 3 and Sanford 15, then beat Kennebunk 37 to 21 as Fred Smith pinned two opponents and Dan Cote edged Rumford's DeFiore. Biddeford, a sophomore-heavy squad, lost all but one weight class with eight pins. The event drew a good crowd at Steve White Gym.
