South African Youth Visit Sweetser Home
Salvation Army South African Youth Team visited Sweetser Home in Saco on a ten week tour stopping with bells and songs. Five children with leaders Capt. Sarah Taylor and Mrs. Rosemary Langosa performed in 15 degree weather after arriving from 100 degree heat, wearing uniforms and scarves while singing hymns and African ditties. The children demonstrated school book balancing, played traditional African games, and showcased tambourine numbers as they danced and clapped. Each child plans higher education with Agriopa Zwane envisioning being a doctor, Monica a nurse, and Walter a teacher. The group waved farewell singing Stay well and God bless you.
