Snowstorm delivers two inch surprise before clearing

The National Weather Service reports about two inches of snow from today's storm with a late afternoon end. A spokesman notes a small low off the southern New England coast caused the surprise and moved less east than expected, striking the coast further north than forecast. Tonight should bring gradual clearing and tomorrow's mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the 20s.

Dallas rapist tied to string of assaults is arrested

Guy William Marble Jr., a 29 year old public relations executive, faces five rape charges with bonds of 250000 each. Police say fingerprints from Marble matched at least 20 crime scenes and that he targeted apartment complexes including The Seasons. Marble, once a reporter, worked briefly for a Lubbock newspaper and was an adviser on statewide media for the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
