Spaulding Receives Life Term For Fatal Store Shooting
Richard A. Spaulding age 19 was sentenced to life imprisonment by Justice James P. Archibald at York County Superior Court for the fatal shooting of Arunde storekeeper Mrs Eulalie McKen. The jury found him guilty of murder after deliberating about two hours. Spaulding showed no emotion as the sentence was read and left for Thomaston State Prison. No appeal was planned by his lawyers.
