Beach Board of Appeals to Meet Tonight

The Board of Appeals will meet at 7 30 tonight at Beach QLD Orchard to hear variance applications from three residents. Irving Hirst seeks a laundromat permit for Pine Point. Alfred Paul requests a variance to use his garage lot for motel parking. Robert and Pauline Boynton seek to add a bedroom to their Saco Avenue home.

Hodgkins and Harrington Named to Avco Board

Edward R. Hodgkins and Frank L. Harrington of Kennebunk Beach have been elected to the Avco Corp board. Avco, New York based, manufactures farm equipment aircraft engines abrasives and aerospace supplies and is parent to several financial services firms. Hodgkins, a vice president and director at The Paul Revere Life Insurance Co and the Paul Revere Variable Annuity Insurance Co of Worcester Mass, has long been a summer resident of Kennebunk Beach. He is a former president of the Kennebunk Beach Improvement Association.
