Getty III Held in Captivity Blindfolded for Months
In Rome the mother of J Paul Getty III says her son was kept blindfolded most of his five month captivity and did not see his kidnappers faces. The 17 year old, found at a Lagonegro gas station, was sedated and could not fully recall his ordeal. The family paid about 2.7 million dollars in ransom for his release.

Unity College Dormitories Offered for Crisis Housing
Unity College president Allan Karstetter says dormitories with sanitary facilities showers and enclosed rooms with beds can house families if fuel shortages require emergency lodging. He told town officials Sunday that dorms are more comfortable than gymnasiums or armories for crisis housing.
