Handwriting And Reading Tips From Dr Nason
The USC professor explains handwriting quality affects spelling and suggests practical drills like daily writing, self editing, and rewriting to improve handwriting and spelling. He addresses a parent asking about a late bloomer student in first grade and offers guidance on listening, following directions, and engaging activities. A reader asks about tapes to aid an adult learner, and the expert cautions that reading speed and study focus are better investments than recording.

Vets Eligible For Dental Treatment
Peacetime veterans may receive dental treatment under the Veterans Administration under conditions set by law effective August 4 1962. Service connected dental conditions existing at discharge may permit one time needed treatment if applied for within one year. If the condition arose from an accidental injury, the one year limit does not apply. Applications before August 14 1962 are invalid and new ones must be filed. Veterans should contact their nearest VA regional office for help applying.
