Walter Davis 24 of Saco is taken to Saco District Court for arraignment on murder charges in the stabbing death of Troy Ballenger 31 a Saco farm worker. Davis is held without bail in York County jail and a Jan 9 arraignment is set with Gerald Nason appointed to represent him. Ballenger was found dead in an open barn on Buxton Road after sustaining multiple chest stab wounds.
Voters in Old Orchard Beach will select five town councilors from 30 candidates for a one year term and fill several other seats including a three year public safety post, two town constables, school committee and park commission terms, plus town clerk.
