A 41 year old father of four died from burns after a $100,000 fire at Waterboro Company Inc a subsidiary of Allied Kid in South Waterboro. Louis E Waterhouse of South Waterboro died at Henrietta B Goodall hospital Sanford while Lucien Camire 31 of Sanford was treated and released. An explosion in the finishing division caused by a spark ignited chemical fumes. Fire departments from York County battled dense smoke and flames with tanks shuttling water from nearby ponds. The plant employs 160 and Alfred W Peterson valued plant and raw materials at 1.5 million dollars. Survivors include his wife three sons a daughter and five brothers plus two sisters.
