Title I funds for the Saco school system were approved to aid the educationally deprived in Saco public schools Notre Dame School and Sweetser Home Cushman noted. The district has received Title I funds since 1965 66 and the funds originate from the Department of Health.
Cushman said Education and Welfare funds are redistributed to states and then to communities. Dayton will receive $1,007 from the same source. Leaves determine if a tree is hardwood or softwood with broadleaved trees called hardwoods and trees with needles softwoods.
