Porter Hall at Ocean Park Celebrates 70th Anniversary
Porter Memorial Hall in the Grove marks 70 years since dedication honoring Rev Ethnan W Porter who led Ocean Park since its founding in 1881. The structure mirrors Parthenon style with four pillars and a unique stained glass P window donated by Porter's widow. No public observance planned. memories of earlier visitors recalled.

Miss Mariette Boucher daughter of Mr and Mrs Clement Boucher of 36 Water St Biddeford married Gerald Soucy son of Mrs Wildred Soucy of St Jean de la Lande Canada last Saturday at St Andre Church Biddeford Rev Richard St Cyr officiated. The bride wore Chantilly lace and nylon organza gown with seed pearls and a pearl trim chapel train. Attendants included Mrs Pauline Pelletier matron of honor and bridesmaids Miss Marcelle Levesque Miss Rina Soucy Miss Emilienne Soucy. A reception for 200 guests followed at St Johns Hall Adams Street Biddeford. The couple will reside in Lawrence Mass both educated in Canadian schools.
