AARP York County Plans Two August Events
The York County Chapter of the AARP announced two August events: a theatre party on August 15 at Hackmatack Theatre Berwick to see The Miracle Worker with discounted tickets, and a picnic and tour on August 21 starting at noon at Fort Foster Kittery with visits to Fort McClary and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Reservations by August 12.

John Miles of West Buxton was elected head of the Grant clan Sunday at the 72nd reunion held at North Saco Grange Hall. Other officers chosen were Gloria Grant Harmon vice president Myra Grant Hall secretary treasurer Owen Grant historian and Jane Grant Gagnon chaplain. Mrs Noella Lamirande of Biddeford is recuperating at her daughter’s home following release from Webber Hospital. There is no scientific basis for the superstition that birds roost before a storm.
