Two Children Rescued After Overnight Woods Search
Diane 10 and Scott 5 Brockelbank were found safe after a long all night search in woods off West Street Biddeford. About 300 locals aided by game wardens State Police and Coast Guard planes located them early morning. They were cold and hungry but unharmed and returned to Portland with their mother Mrs Shirley Brockelbank.

Democrat John G. Janson defeated Republican Donald St Onge 84 to 33 in a special Ward 5 aldermanic election. Janson was sworn in and named to the street committee.
