At the Saco Parent Teacher Association meeting at Young School, Raymond Hobbins was elected president and Mrs. Robert Warner first vice president. Franklin Thompson became second vice president, with Mrs. Elliot Fink as treasurer, Mrs. Alan Sawyer as corresponding secretary, Mrs. William Searle as recording secretary, and Miss Sara Emmons as historian. The nominating committee was chaired by Thomas Winston. The group voted to send delegates to the P T A mental health conference on May 2 at Westbrook and to protest a proposed education budget cut by Gov Clinton Clauson and state representatives.
