Easter Service Held by Sigma Delta at Biddeford First Universalist
The Sigma Delta class met in the church vestry for an Easter worship service led by Mrs. Walter Tufts. During the ensuing business session led by president Mrs. John Tarbox, plans were made for a casserole luncheon on May 6 for the York County Principals Association with Mrs. Tarbox as chairwoman. Donations were approved for the church and for the Universalist Development program. An invitation was read for a silver tea on April 27 at the home of Mrs. Eugene Wollfahart in Saco to benefit the York County Medical Association Auxiliary Scholarship Fund. A letter from former member Mrs. Louisa Wilson was read.

Funeral services were held for William K. Snow a former Biddeford resident who died suddenly at his Bruns wick Ga base on April 6. The 1:30 p m service took place at the Saco United Baptist church with Rev Stanley A Bennett officiating. Interment followed at Laurel Hill cemetery with Portsmouth Naval shipyard officers and Marines providing honors. Chaplain Lt Asa Jones led the committal rites after the Odd Fellows ritual services at the Dennett and Craig Funeral home in Saco.
