Hill Street Fire Puts 22 Out On Hill Street

A smoky upper floor blaze in a large Hill Street apartment house forced 22 Biddeford residents from their homes Monday afternoon. No injuries were reported as firemen fought flames to the roof for six hours, pumping up to a thousand gallons per minute. The bottom floors likely suffered heavy water and smoke damage while residents found shelter with relatives or moved to hotels with Red Cross aid.

Thieu Palace Hit By Jet Fighter Attack
