New Administrator Takes Reins In Saco Sewage Budget

John Dexter, the newly appointed Saco city administrator, led the Monday city council meeting where sewer issues dominated. Following the sewer budget committee’s recommendation, the council voted to reallocate funds from the sewer budget to address pressing sewage problems in the community.

Crowley projected a two year program costing about 82000 while a linked Stockman Avenue project remains under study for 825k. Levitt Plan Option Extended in Kennebunk

At a closed meeting Kennebunk selectmen discussed Levitt and Sons offer to sell their option on 90 acres off Summers Street for 65 000 with a land price of 140 000. Levitt proposed a 154 unit condo subdivision though the deadline expired March 28 1974. The town may pursue private funding to buy the option or land for a park while some locals have lost interest.
